In order to stay true to the meaning of "Migwan", we feel it is essential to have prayer books that contain English, German, Hebrew and the transliteration of the Hebrew for the entire text. Only in this way all our members are able to fully engage in the religious life of Migwan, but such prayer books are not commercially available.

A few years ago, Migwan embarked on an ambitious project to create prayer books for Shabbat and the High Holidays for our community. Thanks to Rabbi Weingarten, and a core of Migwan members contributing their time, energy and expertise, we are pleased to announce that the Migwan community has collectively donated CHF 11,000, so together with the additional donation from the Eichler family, we have raised CHF 21,000! Their generous donation has given the project the necessary momentum.

We would like to thank all our members and supporters. Donations of any amount are welcome. The offer to receive a personal copy of the Siddur for every donation of CHF 300 is still possible.

You can also donate online using the donation button.

We believe that our Siddur will also serve the wider community of German and English speaking Jews in Europe. The Siddur is ready to be printed in its final form as a hardback book, which will serve our community for many years to come, as well as being offered for sale to other communities.

We therefore want to raise a further CHF 10,000 to finance the final layout and printing of 500 copies of our new Siddur. These funds will be used to finance the additional time invested by the rabbi and staff, the printing and professional editing of the designs and the final, high-quality printing. We welcome donations of any size.

We thank you in advance for your support, as it is of great importance both for our daily religious life and for the financial stability of Migwan.
