Camille Pissarro “The modern atelier” Guided tour of the exhibition in the Art Museum Basel,

Wednesday, October 27, 2021, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m


Jacob Abraham Camille Pissarro, born in Charlotte Amalie, Danish West Indies in 1830, was sent at the age of twelve by his parents to a boarding school near Paris, where he soon attracted attention due to his pronounced artistic talent. He became one of the most important artists of the 19th century in France. As a central figure, he had a decisive influence on Impressionism. Meeting point: In the entrance area of the art museum Basel/ new building, St.Albangraben 20. Admission depending on group size (minimum / maximum 10/25 P.): CHF 20.00 / 15.00 (Migwan subsidized) will be collected on site.
